How can smaller ATMP organisations access apprenticeships, both to upskill existing staff and hire new trainees? Are there additional resources that even larger businesses, with established apprenticeships programmes, may not be aware of?

We are excited to launch “Placing People First”, a new Next Phase podcast series aimed at celebrating innovations in the Advanced Therapy / Biotech / Cell & Gene Therapy sector. This series of videos will look at the amazing ways in which organisations are collaborating to ensure that the industry continues to keep up with ever-growing demand.

In this first episode, Kate Barclay from the Bioindustry Association discusses the huge range of Science, Engineering & Digital apprenticeships that are available, to develop much-needed skills in disciplines such as Data Science and Bioinformatics. Through organisations such the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education, the Advanced Therapies Apprenticeship Community, and the National Apprenticeship Service, businesses can access amazing training resources to attract, upskill and retain key talent, to help the ATMP sector overcome its increasing skills shortages.

The full 22-minute video can be watched on our podcast page
