Job Title: Medical Affairs Advisor
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months (37 hours/week)
Role Overview:
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a broad portfolio of medicines, including those for Rare Diseases, Inflammation & Immunology, and Antibiotics targeting resistant infections. You will play a key role in supporting product launches within the Rare Haematology Team while serving as a vital link between the medical community and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical and Scientific Expertise:
Provide high-quality medical and scientific advice to healthcare professionals, internal teams, and professional bodies.
Ensure compliance with the ABPI Code of Practice and promote the appropriate use of medicines.
Support product launches and other initiatives by delivering medical insights and reviewing promotional and non-promotional materials.
Partnerships and Collaboration:
Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, specialists, and key decision-makers.
Act as a bridge between the healthcare community and internal teams by facilitating scientific communications and research collaborations.
Provide scientific input to enhance brand strategies and initiatives.
Research and Data Generation:
Support clinical research efforts, including feasibility assessments, investigator identification, and study implementation.
Contribute to real-world data generation and ensure timely publication of findings.
Use insights to shape clinical development programs and align global trial designs with UK needs.
Data Communication and Insights:
Deliver accurate, balanced, and impactful responses to customer inquiries.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop valuable resources for healthcare professionals.
Collect and communicate customer insights to influence strategies and identify opportunities.
Cross-Functional Support:
Provide medical advice to teams in areas such as Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, Medical Information, Access & Value, and other departments.
Assist in developing HTA dossiers and supporting regulatory submissions and risk management plans.
Offer ABPI Code compliance guidance for customer engagement and partnership activities.
Qualifications:
Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Science (postgraduate preferred).
Registration with GMC (Medical) or GPhC (Pharmacy) preferred; relevant pharmaceutical industry or NHS experience considered.
Proven expertise in Medical Affairs, clinical research, or related fields.
Strong fluency in Business English.
