Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Process Lead to oversee manufacturing operations within the pharmaceutical and medical devices sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in a highly regulated environment, ensuring production targets are met and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
This role requires strong leadership skills, fostering professional growth, and maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations. The Process Lead will drive team performance, process efficiency, and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop a team of process operators to maximize productivity and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and accountability to drive continuous improvements.
Ensure team members complete required training and comply with SOPs.
Support staff development through coaching and feedback.
Act as the first point of contact for team-related concerns and performance issues.
Process and Operations
Oversee daily manufacturing activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and targets.
Participate in meetings and shift handovers to address operational priorities.
Implement stock control procedures and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize efficiency.
Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and industry regulations.
Promote lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S management.
Safety & Quality
Maintain a safe work environment, conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Ensure all products meet GMP standards by enforcing SOP adherence and conducting quality inspections.
Metrics and Reporting
Manage real-time reporting systems to track and analyse key manufacturing metrics.
Report performance data (e.g., production yield, downtime, efficiency) to support continuous improvement.
Skills and Competencies:
Essential Criteria
Secondary-level education with strong numeracy and literacy skills.
Leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with GMP adherence.
Understanding of health and safety procedures.
Desirable Criteria
Third-level education in a science or engineering-related field.
Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
