We are seeking an experienced Bioinformatician with a strong background in Proteomics to join a dynamic and growing team focused on developing innovative translational biomarker tests. These tests are essential for supporting pharmaceutical companies in the development of new treatments for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The tests aim to provide diagnostic, prognostic, and treatment efficacy biomarkers for clinical trials and post-market use, ultimately enhancing the development and effectiveness of life-saving therapies.

As a lead Bioinformatician, you will have the opportunity to oversee the bioinformatics function, lead your own team, and contribute to the company's growth. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop experience in pioneering the design, development, and implementation of translational biomarker tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and visualise targeted proteomics datasets

  • Conduct univariate and multivariate statistical analyses

  • Produce high-quality outputs for reports, patent applications, and peer-reviewed publications

  • Perform pathway analysis

  • Use Python to automate experimental design, data analysis, and workflows where applicable

  • Build and maintain internal relational databases

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

  • A degree in a life science or biological discipline

  • Extensive experience in proteomics data analysis and visualisation, ideally in a commercial setting

  • Proficiency in Python programming

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in bioinformatics or a related field, with a focus on commercial or applied settings

Desired:

  • Experience analysing datasets generated from LC-MS platforms (e.g., DIA, DDA, TMT, MRM) across various platforms (Thermo, SCIEX, Waters, etc.)

  • Familiarity with statistical analyses such as PCA, PLS-DA, Volcano plots, and regression models

  • A PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, or a related discipline

Full details will be provided upon application.
