We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join a dynamic and innovative Cell Therapy company, contributing to the advancement of cutting-edge therapies. This company is currently moving toward first-in-human trials for a therapy aimed at treating hearing loss, based on auditory stem cells. The company is expanding its R&D team to support the development of manufacturing protocols for this therapy, as well as progressing other therapies in the discovery stage.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Scientist, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing experimental programs related to the expansion, culture, and differentiation of pluripotent stem cells (PSCs). You will collaborate with academic partners to establish protocols for manufacturing, ensuring they can be transferred to production partners. You will also report directly to the CTO and guide the direction of research programs in the lab.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experimental programs for the expansion, culture, and differentiation of PSCs.

  • Develop, validate, and troubleshoot assays, including Flow Cytometry, PCR, and Cell Counting.

  • Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on experimental techniques.

  • Collaborate with academic partners to develop and refine protocols.

  • Analyze and report results to the CTO, ensuring data integrity and alignment with R&D objectives.

Key Required Expertise:

  • PhD in a relevant life science field.

  • Proven experience in mammalian cell culture, particularly with complex cultures or primary cells.

  • Experience working with hPSC, iPSC, or other pluripotent stem cells is advantageous.

  • Expertise in developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing PSC differentiation protocols is a plus.

  • Proficiency in assay development, including Flow Cytometry, PCR, and Cell Counting.

  • Experience in GMP-ready protocols is desirable.

Why Join?

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to transformative therapies that have the potential to change lives. The company fosters a collaborative, growth-oriented environment, where you will have the chance to impact the development of pioneering therapies while advancing your career. Employees are encouraged to actively contribute to R&D programs and gain broad exposure across the company.
