Position Summary:

The Sterile Services Team Leader oversees a team of technicians on shift, including an evening cleaning crew. This role involves direct responsibility for recruitment, staffing, development, and performance management to ensure that operational standards are consistently met. The Services team is divided into five sections: Component Preparation, Van Duties, Clean Suite Servicing, Equipment Preparation, and Cleaning.

 Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the application of good manufacturing principles across all areas of responsibility.

  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, including MHRA and HS&E guidelines.

  • Manage the Performance Review and Performance Agreement processes, providing regular feedback to team members.

  • Oversee the effective completion of all Sterile Services duties.

  • Co-manage recruitment and staffing levels for the team.

  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.

  • Manage team absences in line with company protocols.

  • Act as deputy for the Sterile Services Manager when necessary.

  • Collaborate with other Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Managers to ensure alignment and meet business needs.

  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are in place and up to date.

  • Oversee waste management processes.

  • Develop training and development plans for all team members.

  • Ensure timely closure of Change Requests, Non-Conformances, CAPAs, and Protocol Deviations.

  • Be flexible and available to work across all sections of the Services department.

  • Maintain personal and team training records, ensuring they are up to date.

  • Motivate the team to meet deadlines and achieve workload targets.

  • Uphold a professional code of conduct in the workplace.

  • Demonstrate and promote organizational values and behaviours.

 Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in leading and motivating a team.

  • Experience within a production environment, ideally with GMP knowledge.

  • Ability to work to high standards and ensure the team does the same.

  • Consistently meets targets and deadlines.

  • Organized and methodical approach to work.

  • Proficient in computer use.

 Work Conditions/Requirements:

  • Onsite role with a split shift pattern.

  • Work in all classified areas of production facilities.

Access to restricted areas.
