Position Summary:
The Aqueous Manufacturing Team Leader will supervise a team of Production Technicians in the dispensary and venom manufacturing areas. Responsibilities include recruiting, deploying, appraising, training, developing, and disciplining team members to continuously improve professionalism and standards.
Responsibilities:
Apply Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) across all responsibilities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and MHRA/HS&E standards.
Manage the performance review process and provide regular feedback to team members.
Co-manage recruitment within the Aqueous department.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and manage team absences as per company procedures.
Organize and prioritize schedules to meet customer delivery deadlines while maintaining GMP requirements.
Continuously improve safety, quality, and introduce more efficient working methods.
Deputize for the Aqueous and Process Improvement Manager as needed.
Collaborate with other Team Leaders and Supervisors to meet business needs.
Manage the annual stock check for aqueous production, coordinating with Finance and Planning.
Ensure efficient management of S&OP within the team, providing support across the business during low seasons.
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are up to date and accurately detail processes.
Develop formal training and development plans for team members.
Maintain up-to-date GMP training and training folders for all team members.
Promote cross-functional team development and multi-skilling.
Raise and close out Change Requests, Non-Conformances, CAPAs, and Protocol Deviations promptly.
Manage recruitment and headcount for the team.
Plan and schedule manufacturing requirements for the team.
Deliver on Manufacturing and Freeze Dryer schedules.
Manage dispensary and wasp manufacturing projects.
Ensure appropriate training for new operators in dispensary operations.
Review completed batch records for accuracy.
Co-manage bi-annual shutdowns in collaboration with Engineering.
Lead monthly self-inspections, PDCA audits, and follow up on actions.
Motivate the team to meet delivery schedules and maintain high standards.
Uphold professional behaviour and adhere to the company code of conduct.
Maintain personal training folders and apply GMP principles consistently.
Demonstrate and promote company values and behaviours.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
Experience with GMP
Strong attention to detail
Ability to meet targets and deadlines consistently
Organized and methodical approach to work
Computer literate
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Scientific, Engineering, or Technical background with relevant qualifications
Previous supervisory experience
Knowledge of GMP and sterile manufacturing
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
