Revenue Accounting Manager – Manchester, UK
Permanent, Full-time Position

We are seeking a dynamicRevenue Accounting Managerto join a global finance team based in Manchester. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in managing revenue recognition for long-term and short-term contracts across manufacturing, software, and services, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and UK GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accounting for long-term and short-term contracts, including manufacturing, software, and service contracts with customers.
  • Review and monitor the performance of contracts, create cost and revenue forecasts, and ensure accurate revenue recognition.
  • Collaborate with project management teams, ensuring timely and accurate financial results, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and insightful analysis.
  • Lead the documentation and audit trail for project accounting, ensuring compliance with revenue recognition rules and internal control procedures.
  • Drive process improvements in revenue recognition and contribute to system and process enhancements.
  • Supervise and develop a high-performing accounting team, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
What You’ll Bring:
  • A Qualified Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • At least10 years of progressive accounting experience, with 5+ years in revenue recognition and long-term project accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience working with large-scale ERP systems (Oracle Cloud and OneStream is a plus).
  • Proven project management skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment.
